Romanian Alpine Club – Cluj Branch brings together mountain enthusiasts through its hiking, skiing, mountaineering, climbing and mountain running sections. Throughout the year we organise tours and multi-day trips. Beyond sporting activities, we get involved in volunteer actions, from trail clean-ups to tree planting. Most of our activities are dedicated to club members, and membership also gives you the option to rent the club's shared equipment. Annual membership fee: 150 lei. Pupils, students, minors and people with incomes up to the national minimum wage get a 50% discount on the annual fee and the registration fee. Family discount: starting with the second member of the same family (spouse, adult child), each additional member gets a 50% discount on the registration fee and the annual fee. Early payment discount: if you pay the fee by 31 January, you get a 10% discount. Fees and registration fees paid from 1 November 2026 are valid for the full 2027 club year, meaning 1 January 2027 to 31 March 2028. Not a member? You can still take part in the student tours and the monthly presentation evenings, which are open to everyone. You'll find them in a separate section of the website.
